Greece History
This area was originally occupied by the Iroquoi and Algonquin Native Americans. The first European settlers arrived during the 1790s. Greece was founded in 1822. It was initially known as Northampton and was a part of the Town of Gates. The Morgan Quitno Awards rated Greece as the ninth safest city in America.
